CR7 has shown throughout his remarkable career that age is just a number, with the all-time great still going strong at 39. He plundered 50 goals for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in the 2023-24 campaign, breaking more records and rewriting the history books along the way.

He is about to lead Portugal into Euro 2024 as captain of his country – at an 11th major international tournament – while looking to add to hauls of 207 caps and 130 goals. He has raised the bar of individual brilliance to a height that few can dream of reaching.

That includes members of his own family, with Cristiano Jr having followed his father onto the books of Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United. He is now part of Al-Nassr’s academy system, and has been catching the eye there. Ronaldo has now sent birthday wishes to his eldest child on social media, saying: “I can't believe you're 14, time flies. Congratulations, my partner in crime! Daddy loves you so much.”
